Meaning “daddy” in Italian, Babbo is a fantastic Italian restaurant situated in the heart of London’s exclusive Mayfair. Although a stylish and sophisticated restaurant, Babbo offers a homely atmosphere with a cosy feel. The design of the dining room takes inspiration from the restaurants of Tuscany and is an elegant affair with lots of polished wood, huge crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceilings and attractive exposed brickwork. Charming black and white Italian family prints adorn the walls and crisp white table linens cover each table. The private dining room caters for up to 1 4 guests and is perfect for any type of occasion, from business meetings to birthday parties. The restaurant is more than happy to arrange bespoke menus upon request. At the helm of the Babbo kitchen is Head Chef Douglas Santi who was once sous chef to the famous Alain Ducasse and has worked in some of the world’s best restaurants. His exquisite Italian menu features the very best ingredients and includes mouth watering dishes such as sea scallop medallions with potato and leek cream, traditional wild sea bass in salt crust and Ossobuco Milanese style. Don’t forget to try the signature dish – the lasagne al ragout di chianina, which is prepared according to a 100 year old secret recipe passed on to Santi by his grandmother. I would just like to thank all the staff at BABBO for making my 20th Anniversary so special. From the time we walked through the door to the time we left was like being welcomed home. The service was 1st class, warm and a real feeling that they wanted you to be there. Babbo is a fantastic Italian , stylish and sophisticated restaurant. Antone made the evening special with his care for detail. He went out of his way to make sure we got everything we needed to make our evening perfect. We will never forget that special night. Thank you so much.

We had the most wonderful Italian food in London on Albermarle Street, at Babbo. It was a great place for a big party - we had 16 on our first visit, but has proven an equally suitable place for lunch. The mozzarella is the best we have ever had and the quality of the produce generally is really high. Helpful and friendly staff. Not cheap, but worth the price.

Coming from Los Angeles California I was introduce to Babbo for there Italian food. The first time I ate at Babbo the dinner was amazing especailly the lasagne. I loved the food so much that in the short time (1 week) I was in London I had eatin there again. If I would have stayed longer I probably would have eaten there once again. Bravo to Babbo and the owner for the great service, great enviroment and great food!!! Can't wait to go back!!

Last week I noticed that this restaurant was now open so I booked a table. Three or my friends and I went for lunch, the decor inside is stunning with a relaxed atmosphere. The service was good and the food was just incredible especially the lasagne, it is the best that I have ever tasted.
