Cafe des Amis restaurant London is one of Covent Garden's longest standing French restaurants, set in a narrow alleyway behind the Covent Garden Opera House. The restaurant decor is expensive looking with beautiful chandeliers & colourful, comfortable seating and the newly designed menu offers a tempting choice of traditional & modern French cuisine. Fish is the real speciality at Cafe des Amis, in particular the stunning fruits de mer, succulent salmon & deliciously crispy deep-fried squid, but meat lovers & vegetarians will be equally spoilt. There are always some great value set menus on offer at Cafe des Amis, making this a favorite Covent Garden restaurant, particularly with theatre & opera goers. It's worth booking Cafe des Amis in advance as this restaurant is always extremely busy.

Amazing venue, great food. You have to try the chocolate soup. Great service too.

The restaruant is excellent looks elegant and contemporary but welcoming with a high standard of service. The food was creative, fresh and high quality. The steak and duck were cooked to perfection, pink but not bloody and the chips were delicious. Wine was good value. The best were the dessert, the chocolate soup and chocolate fondant were absolutely out of this world!

I organized a surprise dinner for my husband’s 40th at Cafe des Amis and it was perfect. We first had drinks in the downstairs bar and then moved to their private dining room, beautiful indeed, with flowers and candles everywhere. The food was delicious from the bread to the petit fours. All our friends enjoyed their dinner, we were all very impressed by the quality of the food. We had our own waiter who dealt with all our queries with a smile, so unusual in central London! I will go back next time I’m in Covent Garden for sure.
