Head chef Marcellin Marc, formally of 2* Clos de la Violette, and his team use their training, skill and dedication to bring out in every dish the inherent flavour of its ingredients. I was taken to this restaurant for my birthday this month and had a most wonderful evening. Going to the capital is always a problem when you want to have a special meal and both avoid snooty wine waiters and not pay a small fortune. Here both service and the staff were the best I've had in London. A great discovery!

Clos Maggiore serves fantastic food in a non- pretentious, beautiful and comfortable restaurant with charming staff. The fixed price lunch represents excellent value for such stonking quality. Dining a la carte it would be easy to blow money away - however the wine list is well-judged in that it has something to suit most pockets and a good number of wines and spirits available by the glass. I stumbled-across this restaurant by accident - its now a favourite.

My friend and I went here on Saturday 20th October 2007. I have travelled the world and eaten in Michelin star restaurants. This little restaurant is absolutely superb. The food was perfect, I cannot fault anything I had to eat, beautifully served, the service was faultless. If I have to criticise it would be the price of the wine. £28 for a bottle of South African Chenin Blanc but having said that it was a beautiful wine and we did have 2 bottles!!
