British food doesn’t get much better than that served at Corrigan’s of Mayfair

 

After his huge success at Bentley’s and Lindsay House, acclaimed Irish chef Richard Corrigan presents Corrigan’s of Mayfair, a superb London restaurant specialising in the delights of British cuisine. Located on Upper Grovesnor Street, close to Hyde Park, Corrigan’s of Mayfair is a comfortable setting with a stylish décor inspired by hunting lodges. Large round tables covered in crisp white linens are the blank canvasses to the real star of the show-the food. Corrigan’s menu is inspiring and represents one of finest displays of British cuisine at its very best. Emphasis is on rustic and traditional food and most dishes are presented on basic white tableware so that the food is the most important detail of all. The menu features so many highlights but to name just a few you could find yourself indulging in a starter of suckling pig sausage, oysters and duck tongue or roast wood pigeon with pickled endive followed by loin of rabbit with spinach and garlic purée or large plaice in almond crumb with clams and whelks. Desserts are exceptional like lime and cheese soufflé or warm carrot cake with pickled walnuts and Clementine’s. British cuisine is back up there with the best at Corrigan’s of Mayfair.

My wife and I happened on Corrigans in Mayfair by chance whilst on a visit to London last week and found the entire experience to be truly wonderful. The service was first class and all dishes were sumptuous - would recommend to anyone and will definitely visit again
