Covent Garden Grill, right in the heart of Covent Garden, has a modern atmosphere and music, and offers excellent value for money

 

Covent Garden Grill is certainly fashionable, yet the atmosphere is entirely without pretension and it is this which gives the place its unique character. The cool interior is done in shades of taupe and mocha, with swooshy big artworks and smart detailing. The inventive grill menu utilises high quality ingredients such as steaks from 28 day hung Black Aberdeen Angus out of Inverurie, and also offers dishes such as teriyaki salmon with soba noodles or Lebanese chicken breast with Mediterranean couscous. Starters include beef carpaccio, dressed crab and soups like roast tomato and basil or green pea and mint; whilst their desserts such as lime and chilli panna cotta with passion fruit coulis or rhubarb crème brûlée are hard to resist. So whether you're shopping, sightseeing, theatre-going or just simply in need of a little refreshment, this independently run restaurant in Covent Garden really is the perfect find.

I went to the Covent Garden Grill on sunday with 10 other people and I thought that I may have to wait for a long time, but was pleasantly surprised to see that the lovely waitress got us our complimentary glass of cava immediately.I ordered the steak with caution as I have never found good steak here in the UK (being from oz).But the steak did meet my expectations and once again I was quite impressed.The only thing I would have loved to see more sauces to go with the steaks, like mushroom and peppercorn. The vanilla panacotta was DIVINE.I have never tasted anything like it. I have to say I was so impressed with this place. I have been recomending it to anyone who would listen. The service is very good too. Well done.

Visited the Covent Garden Grill on 1st March 2008. What an excellent choice. The service provided by Lisa and Martin was brilliant. Food excellent also, and very good value for money, as was the location.Myself and my 2 sisters were visiting with our mother to celebrate her birthday. My mother thoroughly enjoyed herself, she received free champagne, and Lisa arranged a private hire driver to take us back to our hotel. 10/10. Will definitely visit again.

Covent Garden Grill was a wonderful experience. The food was first rate & service was friendly and helpful. We booked the Best London Restaurants 3 course special menu which was delightful....and the glass of free bubbly went down very well too!! The perfect location for a night at the theatre, Covent Garden Grill is a real winning ticket.
