After ten years at the Michelin starred London restaurant Roussillon, Alexis Gauthier has brought his exquisite Modern French cuisine to the tables of Soho with his fabulous Michelin starred restaurant Gauthier Soho. Situated in the stylish Soho townhouse of Lindsay House, formerly occupied by Richard Corrigan, Gauthier Soho has got everyone talking with its amazing culinary offerings. The dining room is found on the first floor, above the ground floor wine shop and cellar, and is a refined and elegant setting with soaring ceilings and pretty sash windows. Gauthier’s menu is simply superb and vegetables take on just as much importance as meat or fish. Menu highlights include the smoked salted wild sea bass with white asparagus, Melba toasts and ceps; red mullet with fennel shards, confit tomatoes and baby squid and sweetbreads with morels and Jersey Royals. Desserts such as raspberry millefeuille or dark chocolate mousse with praline should not be missed. The wine list is exceptional and features over 400 French wines and service is outstanding. Its no wonder that Gauthier Soho gained a Michelin star so quickly, this is one exceptional London restaurant!
