Recently taken over by restaurants giants D & D, the legendary London restaurant Kensington Place still remains one of the areas favourite dining destinations. Opened in 1897, Chef Rowley Leigh gained a legion of loyal followers including the likes of Princess Diana with his innovative Modern British cooking. These days Kensington Place is more geared towards regionally inspired French cuisine, and with a menu of such superb quality, the restaurant has lost none of its faithful following. Still a bright and spacious venue with a huge glass frontage, Kensington Place is a restaurant to see and be seen in. Chef Daniel Phippard’s menu features a great range of regionally inspired French dishes such as pheasant cannelloni with lentil salad and celeriac and chestnut crumb or cod fishcakes with tapenade, tomato vinaigrette and parsley purée to start followed by venison pie with goat’s cheese or sea bream with chorizo and tomato cassoulet.
