Pescatori Dover Street is a small family run restaurant which has been awarded 2 AA rosettes in recognition of the technical excellence of the chef.

 

This being an Italian-run fish restaurant, the likes of sardines & octopus are to the fore &, thankfully, the chef at Pecatori Dover Street understands that the best thing to do with such lovely ‘straight-from-the-ocean' ingredients is as little as possible. Sardines are simply char-grilled, while octopus is tossed in olive oil, lemon & freshly-ground black pepper. Mains include braised salt cod with crispy garlic, thyme, olive oil & caramelised lemon risotto & cacciucco, a five-fish stew with prawns, salt cod, cuttlefish, monkfish & red gurnard. Pescatori also offers a blackboard for changing daily specials as well as an honestly priced wine list. Service is attentive & friendly making Pescatori Dover Street a favourite with locals and business types.

Every thing was excellent. It was Alan's birthday and they even wrote happy birthday on his tart. Service was special and the oysters were delicious. All the food we had was terrific so thank you.

Went to Pescatori on Saturday 18 April 2009, after reading about it on Internet. Visitors to London from Belfast. Concerned that restaurant was rather quiet but it filled up reasonably well. Is the recession hitting London restaurants? Excellent service, wide menu, reasonably priced Italian wine. Would recommend Lobster ravioli and seafood risotto! Would definitely return.

Gorgeous restaurant, lovely food. fantastic wine. Felt like we were worlds away from the busy streets of London. 100% recommend it!
