From the team that brought the Michelin starred Arbutus to Soho comes the excellent British restaurant Wild Honey, located in the very heart of London’s Mayfair. This smart and very stylish restaurant has proved a big hit on the Mayfair dining scene with its fabulously wood panelled dining room and exquisite British cuisine and is the holder of one coveted Michelin star. The best thing about this restaurant though is its prices. Ingredients have been carefully chosen to ensure prices are kept down although that’s not to say that quality has been compromised in any way whatsoever. Anthony Demetre’s cleverly thought out menu focuses on the seasons and features sublime dishes like crisp belly of pork with English snails and butternut squash or warm smoked eel with sweet and sour turnips and pear purée to start with followed by haunch of venison with Jerusalem artichokes or belly of pork with pearl barley and chorizo. Desserts such as treacle tart or egg custard tart with Clementine marmalade round tings off perfectly. Wild Honey is one hot restaurant at the moment and even the bar seats are in high demand therefore it’s advisable to book well in advance.
